How does one become a prostitute/escort?

Curious as to how all that works. I understand STD's, drugs, and possible killings. Don't lecture me. I cant find one to ask, was hoping one might read this and answer me. Thinking of making it into a side job. Hell I already have with dead end guys, why not get paid for it? I already heard about the beating from other hoes and "pimps".
