If everyone thinks that we live in a world where political correctness has gone mad, why do we put up with it?

For instance, not being able to display your national flag without being labelled some sort of racist. It seems that the people who this is meant to offend couldn't care less and it's the 'do gooders' who create the tension and bad feeling by blowing things out of proportion
