What would you do if it were you?

My husband and I have been married for almost 3 years. I came into the marriage with a lot of debt. We have been doing our best to pay it down over the years but still have about 9k left to pay off. We really want to have kids. Here is the tough thing is he had a vasectomy 10 years ago so we have to either get it reversed or go to a urologist to have a different kind of procedure done. So here is my question. My husband wants to wait until we have completely paid off the debt first, but this might take 3 or 4 years. I really don't want to wait that long. He keeps telling me it will be better in the long run. I just really want to have kids but of course I don't want to be in a huge amount of debt. Would you just wait or try and make it happen now?
