Are there any regular Bluegr venues in the north-east of England?

According the the web the north-east is a desert - Leeds is the closest for regular club bluegr. Saw Ricky Skaggs at the Sage, Don Wayne and the Hyseeds get up here fairly regularly and the Cole Porters came to Durham in February. We need a venue for home-grown talent!
