"I wanted the best health care", "I wanted immediate health care", says Canadian Premier. What say you?

I don't understand why universal health care and the word "socialism" has been so demonized by the right. We are a balance of socialism and capitalism already but things have gotten way too far to the right. Health care shouldn't be for profit. Can you imagine if corporations owned our water supply or police/fire departments? Some things need to be controlled by people dedicated to public service. Health care is one of them.
